XD. i just prayed and read the bible. i just read one passage and...somehow i ..... something just came to me. I dont know if itz like over interpreting...but it just came to me and i thought I'd share it with u guyz.

i was reading exodus 36 to 38. it was one of the chapters i refused to read before coz i thought i wouldnt understand all the things about making the tabernacle and i thought it wasnt necessary for me to read it other than to know that it was complicated.

so... it said..

'' He has filled them with skill to do all kinds of work as craftsmen, designers, embroiderers in blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen, and weavers- all of them master craftsmen and designers. So Bezalel, Oholiab and every skilled person to whom the Lord has given the skill and ability to know how to carry out all the work of constructing the sanctuary are to do the work just as the Lord has commanded. ''

okay.. it seems very normal. but then, somehow i realised that, even if these people were brilliant, smart, blessed with the skills and abilities from the Lord, which I may add is the most valuable gift ever, they still carried out the work as the Lord told them to.

In other words, they were smart. They could have easily did it their own way! But, they chose to listen to God so closely that every cm was right.

Think about it this way. Many of us now are smart in our own ways. in fact, all of us. In the area in which we're better than others, we often become overly confident and take matters in our own hands, thinking we know best. How many will actually still take orders from someone else? the defiance is just...overwhelming.

And something else I thought when I read this verse is that, even though these craftsmen and designers were skilled, they are to do the work.... well, this isnt exactly from the verse but then, i thought that when we are skilled with an ability, we should always use it to glorify God. and only that will be recognised in judgement. not how you used your brains, for example, to help your friends win money or something. but really, how you used them to honour God.

Well, that kinda spoke to me coz I thought to myself. How am I using my gifts? How am I using my abilities that God blessed me with?

Firstly, I think all of should also think about, what did God bless me with. when we know what we're good at, only then can we use it advantagously to glorify God's name. So, i figured it was brains although Im not exactly one of the smartest in class. Getting into RGS itself was.... one of the greatest gifts my academic life could possibly receive. So, how was I using my intellect?

This was when I felt most down about myself. Because, other than to score best in class and to reach a GPA of 4.0, what else was I using it for? Nothing.

So now I'm trying to think of ways to glorify God's name through my talents and I thought yall should give it a thought too. XD.

HAHAH. It's really great when you finally have a verse speak out to you after so long. PRAYERS WORK. trust me!!!!! hahaha...
